Born and raised in Boston, DJ Cuz'N ED grew up surrounded by music, with his father hosting jam sessions that filled the house with the sounds of Salsa, Plena, Bomba, and Jibaro music. At 16, he began DJing under the guidance of Danny and Richard Lopez (the Twinkies) and DJ Rip Hernandez, gaining recognition by spinning Disco, R&B, Freestyle, Hip Hop, and Reggae at local events. Too young for clubs, he made a name for himself through student gigs and Sweet 15 parties, while also expanding his musical palette by exploring iconic Boston venues like Narcissus, The Loft, and Avalon. A major turning point came in the mid-90s when Armand Van Helden introduced him to Afro Latin Tech House, and his love for 70's and 80's rock further enriched his sound. His visit to The Tunnel in NYC sealed his passion for this diverse musical journey.
Cuz'N ED partnered with renowned graffiti artist Alvin Acoma to blend art and music, with Acoma performing live conga sets during his mixes. He was also an active participant in the Winter Music Conference (WMC) from 2003 to 2012. After a stint in Maryland as a resident DJ for the late Ravens player Tony Siragusa, he returned to Boston, continuing to DJ and managing events across the city. Collaborating regularly with fellow house DJs like Leo Alarcon, Ozzie Mandias, and Alberto Souljah Correia, and many more always using his music to spread love, joy, and peace, while proudly representing his Afro Latin roots on the dance-floor.
